New matt

Here is the first new matt I cut from the design in my new book from Dad.
One down 47 to go. :-)

Gray skies

It is with great sadness that I am writting this. Our dear friend Super Splash the bass has gone to the great pond in the sky. He has been sick for a couple of weeks now. He would only eat 1 minnow at a time once a week. The crappie ate the other 10. Lately he was getting some ick all over and looking really sad. Monday morning he was gone. The carcas was uncerimoniously thrown in the garbage. (too big to flush) The garbage man took him away today. I am getting over my depression, but it is a long road when you lose someone that close. We had him for 2 years and 9 months, since he was 2 inches long. At his passing he was 16 inches long.
We will miss you Super Splash

Wow

The Fed Ex guys dropped this off on Valentines Day. I thought Lisa got me something nice, but No. Dad got me these new books for my birthday. Cool. So many new cuts and ideas. I gotta get back to work.

Zander

Zander was watching a new movie and I took his picture. He is eating some honey roasted peanuts. MMMM The movie is How To Eat Fried Worms.

15 below

And to think I could be in Mexico this week. Stupid government. Passport what passport?!?!!! I am sure they are having a good time. We drove three hours in a whiteout to get to South Dakota. That's pretty hard up for a good time eh? We had a blast though except for Zach walking around the room all night. The waterpark was awesome. The party was awesome too. Great food. Zander just loved the big water slide. Zach would just keep walking till he would be underwater if you would let him.. Gotta watch 'em every second. Lisa was the only person who SCREAMED going down the waterslide. EVERY time she went down. The next morning we pigged out on the breakfast bar. MMMM Good. I had 4 milks 2 sandwiches and 2 rolls. I was not very hungry at lunchtime, but the kids were all starving to death by noon. We ate at BK in Jackson on the way home. Everyone was tired and ornery. Its good to be home.

Fun to do

Nick just got done walking. Now the boys get to play. Notice the pop stockpile. Yes Lisa is at it again. $1.25 a 12 pack minus the 23 that exploded in the garage when it got to 15 below zero.

Phil and his new book

Nice hair.
Here is a wonderful picture of me and my new matting book that Dad sent me. I just love it. Lots of great ideas for different styles and cuts you can do. I would like to get some kind of a circle cutter so I can do more of the rounded matts. Zander took forever to take the picture. I think my face froze.

Zander

Don't mess with Zander!!!
Zander is learning to golf this summer. Lisa found a jounior set at Target so we started working on the club grip and some putting. Here he is will his toy club. I have to be helping when he uses the real ones. Don't mess with Zander!!!

ECFE

Zander and Zachary had ECFE today. Zander played with toys. "what do you think!" That is what you do at school right. They both liked it. They got to borrow this scooter for a couple days. Great something new to fight over. Actually they are sharing pretty good. Zach also got a circle animal puzzle. Also.... we go to AFRICAM every day yet too. Zander and Zach love it. They always say DEER!!! then they get tickled till they say antelope. Its a little game we like to play.

Twins fest 08

First of all thanks Dad for the tickets. I was not sure if I was going or not till I got the tickets. We went on Saturday and got there about noon or soon. I got a Rod Carew autographed ball finally after three years that he has been there. Nick and Eric ran around looking at everyones cards and both spent about 20 bucks or so. I spent about 40 on cards and got 12 pictures from Dan to frame up. The boys did not stand in line for any autographs, not even the free ones. I did not either. That was the first year I did not want any of the free guys or 5 dollars tables.
I counted up my autograph balls and I am up to 23. I am working on some ball racks to keep them in. I want one for the 3000 hit guys, one for the 500 HR guys, one for HOF'ers and another for Twins.
I got 2 racks done over the weekend. They turned out OK. Now I want to make a couple in the shape of home plate. It's great fun building stuff like that.
