WORMS

It rained a lot today. Nick went down to Mitchels today after lunch. He was not home for supper. At 7 I went down to pick him up. Carla said the boys were out picking up worms. Mitchel let him keep all the worms. Earlier when the boys were here Mitchel said they were watching a coyote chasing a cow in the pasture below the hill by their house. He said his Dad shot it. Cool. Anyway, I must have told Nick we could get worms tonight before bed. I go up to tuck him in after 9 and he is still up. You guessed it. I thought we were going to get worms. So we looked for a flashlight that worked and headed out into the night. Nick started on the driveway and I took the flower garden. The neighbors were out picking them up off the road too. I headed over to Eddies garden and got over 120 and then me and Nick hit the road. I bet we got 300 all together. That is a lot of worms.
Zander and I went to the plant exchange at the fairgrounds. Remember that one M $ D? We got there right at the end and only grabbed one hosta. They were cleaned out!!! We stopped at runnings on the way home and got some annualls to plant. When we got home I had to get the shovel from the backyard. As I walked back I saw a lot of rabbit fur. Owl must have got one last night. As I rounded the corner more fur and more fur and some blood. EEEWWWW!!!!! I grabbed the shovel and saw a little round ??? by the kids slide. Upon further investigation it was a baby bunnies head. What ever ate the bunny did not like the head. Also laying there was a not so lucky rabbit foot. Stangely ironic in a gruesome sort of way. When I headed back up front I found the empty rabbit hole by Lexi's window. No baby bunnies. The cat or whatever must have gotten them all.
Zach Zander Lexi and Nick helped plant the flowers. Zach mostly grabbed all the worms. Zander watched and pointed out the worms to Zach and Lexi and Nick got to do some planting. Then Mommy came out and we all wished her a happy Mothers Day. She was pretty excited. I think I saw a tear in her eye.
Now I am watching The Pick of Destiny with Jack Black.

Good night all.
